The Binational Thematic Network about Border Health (STBSF) will held its second annual meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 20th, 21st, 2016, where researchers from the borders States, Mexico and United States, will be present.
The RTBSF is the result of expertise researches’ dialogue and joint effort in the area of border health. This Network has received funding, for a second consecutive year, from the National Council for Science and Technology (known in Spanish as CONACYT) in Mexico, under the responsibility of the Border Health Commission Mexico-United States, Mexico, an institution with an extensive experience in the field of border health.
The objective of this second meeting is to coordinate researchers’ actions, to help incorporate in the work area, to discuss the advances made by regional nodes, to dialogue about the work plan 2017, and to contribute to the human resources training through a workshop called “Elaboración de propuestas ganadoras” (Elaboration of winning proposals). All these activities will be carry out from a multidisciplinary, inter-social and binational perspective.
The 2016 annual meeting of the RTBSF will take place in the campus of Health Sciences of the University of Phoenix. The event will be inaugurated on Tuesday, September 20 at 9:00 am by officials and academics of Mexico and United States. The event will end its activities on Wednesday, September 21st.
