In October of this year and as part of the collaboration activities between the Tecnológico Nacional de México Cd. Victoria campus and the Binational Border Health Thematic Network (northeastern node) the course “Polymerase Chain Reaction as a tool for diagnosis of genetic and infectious diseases” was held. It was taught to the staff of the Ministry of Health and interested researchers. Which was held on Wednesday 10 and Thursday October 11 of this year with a schedule of 10:00 am to 18:00 pm. This took place in the framework of the Binational Border Health Month at the facilities of the Graduate Studies and Research Division of TecNM, CD. Victoria Campus.
The course was inaugurated by PhD. Maria de la Luz Vazquez Sauceda and organized locally by BBHTN members. PhD. Edgar Pérez Arriaga, PhD. Ausencio Azuara Domínguez, PhD. Juan Flores Gracia, Dr. Rigoberto Lopez Zavala. And with the support of the authorities of the Tecnológico principal Ing. Fidel Aguillón Hernández and the Head of the Professional Studies Division PhD. Marco Aurelio Jiménez Gómez.
The goal of this course was to extend the knowledge of molecular biology tools for the detection of genetic propensity of diseases in human population, as well as to broaden the knowledge about molecular biology tools for the detection of infectious pathogens of diseases of public health interest.
