In her presentation, Dr. Martinez-Donate will describe the methods of, and present preliminary findings from, an ongoing mixed-methods study examining the impact of parental deportation on the health, behavior, and environment of U.S. citizen children growing in Latino immigrant households.

About the presenter: Ana Martinez-Donate is an associate professor of Community Health and Prevention in the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University. Previously, she was a tenured faculty at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Martinez-Donate’s work focuses primarily on the health and well-being of Latino immigrants and their families. She has conducted observational and intervention studies on HIV, syndemics, access to health care, and the impact of policies on health behaviors and outcomes among Latinos in the U.S. and abroad. Currently, she is serving as Principal Investigator for three NIH-funded research grants.
