First partnering meeting with Academic Institutions in Tamaulipas

On July 2nd, the first partnering meeting with academic institutions was held in Tamaulipas, where research activities on migrant health strengthening of the USMBHC were presented through the Binational Border Health Thematic Network, this in order to begin with public health collaboration activities. The two following projects were presented by academic personnel and PhD students of the National Institute of Technology of Mexico in Ciudad Victoria to be developed at the migrant attention center of Nuevo Laredo:

  • Hemoparasite detection on child migrant population.
  • Telemedicine prototype implementation for migrant disease prevention.
